Having just completed my project on the London Underground, I decided to set off for the sunnier climate of Greece for a few weeks during the Easter period in 1995. While I had been shooting colour in the UK for a solid six months or so, I was still attracted to the possibilities of black and white as I was freshly inspired by the work of Garry Winogrand and Tony Ray-Jones.
